The Acceptance Book Review

I recently read The Acceptance by Ramona Finn. I received a free ebook through NetGalley for my opinion (and I was supposed to read this forever ago. Oops.)

Better late than never 😬

The Acceptance is the first book in the GEOs series. The story is set in a future where Earth had been destroyed by a virus. (So, it’s already a perfect read for 2020.)

Because of the virus, some people moved underground to avoid it. The protagonist, Tylia, has lived below ground her whole life. Scientists search for a cure and some people are chosen every so often to help (if they can pass the deadly test.)

Tylia’s mother is sick, dying and doesn’t have much time left. Her best option is to hack into The Acceptance and make it out alive so her mother can get the care she needs.

This book is PERFECT for 2020. It’s a mix of 2020 and The Hunger Games.

I really liked this book. I’m a sucker for dystopian books and this was an interesting twist on a Hunger Games type of book. Some of it could be a little predictable, but overall it was really interesting and I definitely want to read the next one.

Score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨         3 1/2 stars

The Acceptance, The Labs, and The Elite are all available now.
